Hands of Hope Food Bank 

In 1992 Hands of Hope, Inc. began to serve the community as a food pantry/soup kitchen and a limited clothes closet and today the program continues to function from St. James Church, Edison, NJ. Hands of Hope is a non-profit, community based organization. We are committed in providing an efficient and effective centralized system for distributing food to alleviate hunger. Our food drive for the needy is focused on sustaining good nutrition, health and most of all human dignity by providing a means for the individual to meet their full potential and to silence the pain hunger brings.

Bridges – Connecting today to tomorrow

Bridges is a special project of the NJ Institute of Disabilities and is funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development / Residents Opportunity for Self-Sufficiency (HUD-ROSS). This project brings the professional skills of Service Coordinators to assist persons with disabilities and the elderly who live in select Public Housing Authorities. It assists persons with disabilities and senior citizens in navigating community resources such as education and social services as well as recreational and enrichment opportunities which help to facilitate successful independent living.

Edison Housing Authority

Edison Housing Authority is a public housing agency that helps provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Edison Housing Authority manages several funded programs and has a total of 60 subsidized affordable housing units for rental assistance. Edison Housing Authority administered a total of 50 Section 8 Vouchers. Edison Housing Authority currently has as its program type. Edison Housing Authority is located at 14 Rev. Samuel Carpenter Boulevard, Edison, NJ, 08820 and serves the city of Edison. Income limits, fair market rents and rent rates vary with each agency.
